Privacy Policy

1. About the app

Al-Masjid is a charitable, non-commercial mobile app that supports a single mosque in Al-Khobar (Al-Amwaj). The app does not require user accounts and has no advertising or marketing trackers.

2. Data we do not collect

  • No names, phone numbers, or email addresses.
  • No location history or precise GPS data.
  • No advertising identifiers, cookies, or analytics tags.
  • No financial or biometric data.

3. Data we may receive

Only minimal, technical information is processed when you use the app:

  • Device type, operating system version, and app version to maintain stability.
  • Non-identifying crash or error details when the app fails.
  • Voluntary feedback text you choose to send from inside the app.

4. How we use limited data

  • Operate core features such as prayer time displays and notifications.
  • Improve reliability, fix defects, and keep the app compatible with devices.
  • Respond to questions submitted via the in-app feedback tool.

5. Sharing and disclosure

  • Data is not sold, rented, or shared with advertisers or data brokers.
  • Limited technical services may be used only to deliver app functionality (for example, push notifications), and they receive only what is necessary to operate.
  • Information may be disclosed if required by applicable law to protect safety or comply with a lawful request.

6. Storage and retention

  • Technical logs and crash data, when present, are kept only as long as needed to diagnose issues, then removed.
  • Feedback you submit is retained only for follow-up, and may be deleted after the request is resolved.

7. Security

Reasonable safeguards are applied to prevent unauthorized access to any limited data collected. Because the app holds minimal information and no accounts, risks are intentionally reduced.

8. Children

The app is suitable for general audiences and does not collect personal data from children. Parents and guardians should supervise device permissions for minors.

9. Your choices

  • You may use the app without providing any personal details.
  • You can stop using the app at any time; uninstalling removes locally stored preferences.
  • Push notifications are optional and can be turned off in system settings.

10. Changes to this policy

Any significant updates will be reflected on this page with a new “Last updated” date. Continued use of the app after changes indicates acceptance of the revised policy.

Terms & Conditions

1. Purpose of the app

The app provides prayer-related information and notifications for a single mosque. Content is offered for guidance and convenience only and is not a legal or religious ruling.

2. Appropriate use

  • Do not misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or attempt unauthorized access.
  • Do not rely on the app as the sole source for time-sensitive or critical decisions; always verify important information independently.

3. Notifications and timing

Prayer times and alerts depend on device settings, network availability, and external services. Minor timing differences may occur. The owner is not liable for losses or missed events resulting from such differences.

4. Availability and changes

The owner may update, pause, or discontinue any feature or the entire app without prior notice, especially to maintain accuracy or comply with local requirements.

5. Intellectual property

The app name, content, and design are owned by Sultan Alanazi and provided for personal, non-commercial use related to the designated mosque.

6. Governing law

Where required, these terms are interpreted under the applicable laws of Saudi Arabia. Local mandatory consumer protections, if any, remain unaffected.

7. Contact

All questions or concerns should be sent through the feedback feature inside the Al-Masjid app. No other contact channel is provided.
